Hop & Peck

I had wanted to do a feature on Easter-themed homewares today, but was feeling a little dispirited by the abundance of yellow chicks everywhere. Imagine, therefore, my delight upon discovering Hop & Peck on my online travels.

Founded by two designers, Elaine and Stephen, in 2010, the Essex-based company produces beautifully simple, yet brilliantly functional, homewares and toys. The range is inspired by traditionally crafted wooden products and is lovingly handmade in oak from sustainable forests, before being hand-finished with Danish oil.

With Easter being just around the corner, the bunny ears egg cup (above) obviously caught my eye, however I am utterly smitten by the rest of their range of kitchenware with its simple lines and the tactile warmth of the wood.

In fact, I might just ask the Easter bunny to swap chocolate for oak this year…
